The BRCA 1-2 Mutation test is used for DNA analysis and to identify the risk of mutations in the breast for cancer sensitivity genes: BRCA 1 and BRCA 2. Somatic BRCA mutations occur in about 5%-7% of ovarian cancer cases. Therefore, it is important to identify these mutations.
