Influenza H1N1 pdm09, RT-PCR

This test is used to detect Influenza H1N1 pdm09 in patient samples. Influenza H1N1 pdm09 can be detected by PCR before diagnosis by immunological methods, in addition; PCR gives faster results than other methods, including culture methods. The H1N1 pdm09 influenza virus is a contributing factor to a new flu pandemic that has already claimed several hundred lives. Influenza viruses cause respiratory illness that causes a variety of symptoms in humans, including nasal secretions, coughing, and decreased appetite.
