Function
This test is used to diagnose elevated IgM associated with Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, infectious mononucleosis, viral infections, nephrotic syndrome, and estrogen therapy. Meanwhile, decreased IgM was found in selective IgM deficiency, Bruton's disease and acquired immune deficiency.
