Function
Mycoplasma is the smallest organism. M. pneumoniae causes about 10-20% of all cases of pneumonia because it can attack the respiratory tract. This pneumonia, which can affect otherwise healthy individuals, is commonly referred to as "walking" and "atypical" pneumonia.
