Function
Platelets or thrombocytes play an important role in the inflammatory process, the immune system, tissue growth, and control bleeding. Thrombocyte aggregation test is a type of blood test that assesses the work of thrombocyte. There are several conditions where there is a disruption of the work of thrombocyte that causes an increase in blood clotting or reduced blood clotting (when bleeding occurs). This condition can be found in hemophilia, high blood pressure in pregnancy, autoimmune diseases, etc.
