InnoCT - LLETZ / LEEP

Function
The tissue clearing technique aims to make tissue transparent by minimizing light scattering and light absorption, thereby enabling deep imaging of large volume samples. This technique can produce a fine and detailed image of an organ or cell, in order to provide comprehensive information about the biological system of the organ or cell as a whole. Large loop excision of the transformation zone (LLETZ) or loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) can treat precancerous changes in the cervix. Abnormal tissue is removed using a thin wire that is electrically heated, with the aim of removing all abnormal cells from the surface of the cervix.
