This test is used to measure the quantity of CD4+ T cells (CD4) in the blood (absolute CD4 count, %CD4, absolute lymphocytes). The CD4+ T-cell (CD4) count indicates immune status. This examination is carried out primarily for monitoring the immune status of PLWHA.
